Colquitz modelled, designed and provided construction support for this bank and bridge abutment protection project.
Stikine Micro Hydro
Colquitz completed flow monitoring, design, obtained water licenses, and provided construction support for a micro hydro project for a camp on the banks of the Stikine River.

Team
JEFF HOWARD, P.ENG.
Jeff Howard has over 25 years of consulting engineering experience primarily in the water resources field. Jeff has been fortunate enough to work on many interesting and complex projects for a wide variety of public and private clients. Jeff founded Colquitz Engineering Ltd. in 2016.
Jeff has a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma from Camosun College (1995) and Bachelors of Engineering (Civil) from Lakehead University (1997). Jeff is registered as a professional engineer in British Columbia (2001).
Jeff’s areas of expertise include:
- Hydrologic analysis, stormwater management and environmental enhancement;
- Municipal infrastructure planning, modelling, design and construction services;
- Linear infrastructure (storm drains, culverts, sanitary sewers, forcemains, watermains), and
- Water and wastewater pump stations
CHRIS LEE, P.ENG.
Chris Lee is a Professional Engineer with over 15 years of experience in municipal and community infrastructure, land development, site servicing, feasibility studies, asset management, and condition assessment projects. He provides project management, preliminary engineering, detailed design, and contract administration & construction services for both municipal and private clients.
Chris has a B.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia (2004) and a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from Camosun College (2001).
ANDREA DRAIJER, PROJECT COORDINATOR
Andrea joined Colquitz Engineering in 2024 after completing her graduate certificate in Project Management from Royal Roads University.
With over 15 years of experience spanning information management, public service, and non-profit sectors, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as a project coordinator. Her deep understanding of diverse industries and organizational dynamics allow her to navigate complex project landscapes
Andrea has a Masters in Library and Information Science from Western University and a BA from Calvin University.
SAM HOWARD, CAD TECHNCIAN
Sam primarily provides drafting services using Autodesk Civil 3D on municipal infrastructure and water resources projects. He also assists with site reconnaissance, data collection, and other field work.
Sam is in the process of obtaining his Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from Camosun College.
In addition to the above staff, Colquitz Engineering retains the services of numerous contract employees and subconsultants.
